Every woman has a bathroom full of beauty products. Whether for the skin, hair or nails, There is always another product promising to keep us looking young and beautiful for life! The more the product costs, the greater the hype around how well it works! I mean, some of us have spent a small fortune to look great and smell good.
I’m strong believer that the beauty products we use on a daily basis should come from our own kitchens. After all, what better feeling than whipping up a creamy body butter on a Sunday afternoon! Here are a few of my recipes for everyday beauty products.
- Vitamin E oil
- Castor oil
- Olive oil
Pour equal parts castor oil and olive oil into a small container. Add a drop of Vitamin E oil to preserve the mixture. This is a great makeup remover and eliminates the need for a moisturizer. Simply pour a quarter size of the mixture into the palm of your hand and massage on the face. Use a damp towel to cleanse and remove makeup. I noticed a visibly clearer complexion after 7 days of use.
*I make this in small batches. It lasts forever!
- 2-inch piece of Aloe vera
Simply cut a two-inch piece of aloe off an aloe plant or leaf. Slather the gooey inside all over your beautiful face. The consistency can be strange, but it dries super fast and leaves the skin looking tightened and bright!

Mix all ingredients with a spoon in a glass measuring cup. Pour into container.
